Eaton’s plant in Gyor has over 50.000 products, covering a wide range of circuit protection solutions: residential, industrial, motor protection, power transformation and distribution, telecommunications, electronics and automotive.
Their project for our company was modernization one of their major production machines, so we should renovate and modernize them according to their needs. The machine in question is the Carl Wezel roller, whose task is to slit the copper alloy plates to the desired size. We’re designing more innovations on the machine, including the whole system getting new control and closed-loop control instead of the previous one. Outdated drive units are replaced by state-of-the-art servos, and the user interface is replaced with a modern, easy-to-use touchscreen. To facilitate operator tasks, mirrors in the machine are replaced by cameras, which can be tracked on the touch screen interface.
